Fall 2011 finds our Amanda Pearl woman cuddled up in the Pacific Northwest, surrounded by water, forest and a volcanic mountain range. Her architectural surroundings are linear and graphic, not unlike the art and craft she sees from the indigenous tribes. She is taken with the contrast of the local modern glass art, inspired by both the hard organic edges of terrestrial frames as well as the fragile fluidity of submarine forms. Naturally, the moody weather informs her sartorial choices--from layers against the introversive environment and muted light to her bright, modern, intellectual approach to glamour that punctuates the scene with as much vigor as the sun once the grey clears away.
