Amanda Pearl is a New York based collection of handbags and jewelry designed by Amanda Pearl Brotman, and handcrafted in New York City and the artisanal workshops of Italy. Inspired by the tapestry of Amanda’s life and passions, the designs make reference to bold modern art, timeless mid-century design, and sparkling fine jewelry.
Besides her “Permanent Collection” of classic wardrobe standards in vibrant duchess satin, Amanda creates sought after limited editions and one-of-a-kinds - some of which have been hand beaded using semi-precious stones and pearls, or made from hand painted or vintage fabrics. Each piece is meant to stand the test of time and trend, and should be regarded as a piece to be collected and adored. Not unlike a detailed cocktail ring procured from some exotic destination, Amanda Pearl handbags become conversation pieces with history and personality that only grows deeper as they become a part of their wearer’s life.
Amanda's designs have been carried by stars like Chloë Sevigny, Frieda Pinto, Blake Lively, Emma Stone and Hailee Steinfeld. They have been seen on the pages of major publications such as InStyle, Elle, Town & Country, and Martha Stewart Weddings. They have even been used for costuming on the hit television show "Gossip Girl" and are growing in popularity amongst stylists from coast to coast.
In 2010 Amanda Pearl was awarded the Fashion Group International Rising Star Award for Accessories, and in 2011 she was a finalist in the Independent Handbag Designer Awards.
